Rapper DJ Khaled is in the middle of finishing his upcoming album “Grateful”, which will feature a collaboration with Canadian rapper Drake.
Khaled shared pictures and videos to his Instagram account of his studio session with Drizzy, asking “Did the Drake vocals come in?” But during an interview with Apple Music, the father of one revealed that the Drake vocals have in fact come in.
“I know your interviews are more than worldwide so I know everybody’s hearin’ and I trust all of us that we keep this top-secret. So since we all on the same page and we keeping it top-secret… the Drake vocals are in. And let me tell you something, 6 God I know you listening, we ain’t ever gonna stop,” he told “Beats 1” host Zane Lowe.
Khaled even claimed this will be the album of the summer, “If you notice when Khaled/Drake put a record out, they the biggest! I can tell you this Zane, summer’s ours.”
And it’s all thanks to the fans, “When there’s a Khaled and Drake collaboration it’s special. And the fans not only want, they involved with it. I’m here to tell everybody now how special my fans and Drake fans and your fans, how special all out fans are. Y’all inspire us to make these biggest anthems.”
Khaled didn’t want to hint on a release date for this Drake collab but did hint on some big things for his upcoming Coachella music festival performance, “Yes, I am bringing guests! I ain’t playing no game with nobody. This is DJ Khaled, I am one of one, the only one.”
Then added, “I’m lighting the tables up and I’m gonna light everything up. Whoever’s the CEO of Coachella, after I get done with Coachella this year I hope you’re ready to book me for the headliner for next year.”
