Lorde took to the Coachella stage this weekend and had some surprises in store. She teased fans with some new songs from her upcoming album, “Melodrama”, and even covered a Kanye West classic.
The singer played two other songs — previously unveiled — from her sophomore album, “Green Light” and “Liability”, and debuted the song, “Homemade Dynamite”.
“Melodrama” is being released on June 16 and during her set at the festival, the singer teased the upcoming record for fans.
Before singing “Liability”, Lorde mentioned that the opening chord progression on the song reminded her of Kanye West’s “Runaway”. After that, she did a little cover of the song:
At one point during her set, she even performed in a glass box and made her way into the crowd for the song “Team”.
