Dylan O’Brien is making his big return to the silver screen, alongside Canada’s own Taylor Kitsch, after his injury on the set of “Maze Runner: The Death Cure”.
O’Brien stars as Mitch Rapp, a hopeful C.I.A. black ops recruit in “American Assassin”, recruited by Cold War veteran Stan Hurley played by Michael Keaton.
Keaton’s character puts O’Brien through the ringer to prepare for his C.I.A. selection process.
The pair then work together to take down Kitsch’s character, a mysterious dangerous operative trying to start World War III.
The film is based on the best-selling novels from author Vince Flynn. Directed by Michael Cuesta, “American Assassin” is due out September 15, 2017.

Meanwhile, production on the “Maze Runner” sequel was put on hold when O’Brien was injured during filming. He was hospitalized in March 2016 when he was run over by a car on the set of the film.
“Maze Runner: The Death Cure” is now due in theatres in January 2018.
