Parade magazine is back with yet another revealing look at the booming salaries of today’s hottest stars.
From comedians to news anchors, athletes and YouTube stars, the publication lets us in on the most lucrative paycheques around.
Ousted Fox News anchor Bill O’Reilly, who is set to receive as much as $25 million as he parts ways with Fox News, reportedly took in an estimated $18 million to $20 million, thanks to his highly controversial “O’Reilly Factor” television show and collection of over 20 books.
Not too far behind is Amy Schumer, who raked in an estimated $17 million with her 2016 book, “The Girl with the Lower Back Tattoo” and headline-making comedy tour.
Jimmy Kimmel trails behind Schumer, having earned $13 million to 15 million from his late-night show and several high-profile hosting gigs, including the 2016 Emmy Awards and the 2017 Oscars.
These millions, however, don’t compare to the large incomes of stars such as Howard Stern, Dwayne Johnson, Ryan Seacrest, Melissa McCarthy or Ben Affleck, who all earned upwards of $30 million each in the last year.
“The Rock” — People’s “Sexiest Man Alive” for 2016 — collected a cool $64 million due in part to his roles in “Moana” and “Central Intelligence”, making him Hollywood’s highest-paid actor.
Shock jock and former “America’s Got Talent” judge Howard Stern collected a jaw-dropping $85 million, generated primarily from a new five-year deal with SiriusXM Radio.
And with her one-scene return to “Gilmore girls”, being a part of the all-female cast of “Ghostbusters”, and appearing on “Saturday Night Live” as U.S. Press Secretary Sean Spicer, it’s clear McCarthy’s reign over Hollywood isn’t over quite yet. Her buzz-worthy roles earned her $33 million this past year.
