Ed Sheeran took to Twitter on Monday to remind his fans he isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
MTV U.K. reported on Sunday that the “Shape of You” singer was seriously considering ending his music career once his Divide World Tour comes to an end.
According to sources, Sheeran allegedly wanted to take 5-10 years off before he released his next album. The source also said that the singer had achieved all he wanted to already and was in dire need of some time off.
The source also revealed that he is looking to marry his girlfriend Cherry Seaborn and that he would put his family first for a few years before releasing any new music. Sheeran thankfully shut down any speculation with one simple tweet:
Sheeran is currently touring the U.K. and, although he has denied he’s quitting music, he did say that if he started a family, touring may stop momentarily.
“I don’t want to be touring when I have kids,” he admitted to Richard Arnold on “Good Morning Britain”. “I want to be nipping out now and then and actually being able to be a father. So yeah, I think I would definitely have kids, I’d definitely love all the kids in the world, but I don’t want to have them right now.”
