Take a sneak peek at “The Ellen DeGeneres Show”‘s hour-long “coming out” anniversary celebration special on Friday, April 28. The episode marks the 20th anniversary of DeGeneres’s controversial choice to come out as gay on national television.

DeGeneres will dish on how the famous “puppy episode” came to fruition and will celebrate the moment with the “Ellen” cast that helped make it happen.

Special guests include Oprah Winfrey, who highlights some of DeGeneres’s amazing accomplishments, and Laura Dern, who recalls the emotional moment when the daytime talk show host first said, “I’m gay.”
