Busy Philipps can be seen in a litany of movies and TV shows, but that’s not how she she collects most of her income.
The former “Cougar Town” star has been busy making bank through social media. Philipps, 37, revealed on her Instagram story that she makes more money from Instagram posts than she does from acting.
“I’m not above it, guys,” the “Vice Principals” actress said in a video on Thursday, April 27. “I just only choose things that I genuinely like and, like, would want to partner with, like, for instance, my Michaels [craft store] partnership, which, you know, is my favourite thing of all time. And I’m doing one next week, I think, that feels like me.”
Although she recognizes some fans won’t be thrilled with celebs who have “sold out” their Instagram page for sponsors, Phillips said “I gotta be honest with you, I didn’t make a ton of money as an actor last year. I made more of my money doing that kind of stuff, like the partnerships with brands.”
The actress has a reported net worth of $12 million according to multiple sources.
