Former Disney and “Zoey 101” star Jamie Lynn Spears surprised her older sister, Britney Spears, at the 2017 Radio Disney Music Awards in Los Angeles on Saturday, April 29.
Jamie Lynn honoured her big sis with the first-ever Icon Award at the Microsoft Theater. Britney is, of course, an O.G. of the Disney family after starring as a mouseketeer on “The Mickey Mouse Club” 23 years ago.
The shiny new award recognizes “a distinguished artist whose career transcends popular culture and whose music is loved by generations of Radio Disney fans.”
Other artists in attendance also paid tribute to the Princess of Pop. Hailee Steinfeld, Kelsea Ballerini and Sofia Carson honoured Britney by performing a medley of the singer’s biggest hits.
Jamie Lynn even joined in for a performance of “Till the World Ends” after the medley.
The former “Zoey 101” star has kept a low profile since her daughter, Maddie Aldridge, was seriously injured in an ATV accident. The eight-year-old girl seems to have made a full recovery.
