Two lovely ladies at the 2017 Met Gala have changed their tone.
Actresses Amy Schumer and Gwyneth Paltrow had big complaints with past Met Galas, but it hasn’t stopped them from returning to the fashion extravaganza.
Schumer, 35, previously told Howard Stern her attendance last year “felt like a punishment”. She expressed disinterest for much of the event. It’s people doing an impression of having a conversation… I don’t like the farce,” the “Snatched” star said months after the 2016 Met Gala. “We’re dressed up like a bunch of f**king a**holes.”
Despite her prior comments, Schumer indeed stopped by this year’s Gala on May 1 and rocked a floral-embellished gown.
But Schumer wasn’t the only celebrity to have seemingly gone back on her word. In 2013, Gwyneth Paltrow told USA Today “I’m never going again.” The mind behind Goop thought the event “was so un-fun. It was boiling. It was too crowded. I did not enjoy it at all.”
But never say never! The 44-year-old made her return to the event in a dazzling pink, single strap dress.
