‘Walking Dead’ Star Josh McDermitt Quits Social Media After Death Threats From Abusive Fans Who Hate His Character

Best known for playing mullet-headed Eugene on “The Walking Dead”, actor Josh McDermitt reveals that he’s had it with abusive fans who target him on social media because they’re unhappy with the duplicitous direction his character has taken this season.

As a result, McDermitt has pulled the plug on all his social media accounts shortly after appearing on Facebook Live to explain he’s even received death threats due to his role, urging fans of the show not to confuse an actor with the character that he or she plays.

“Death threats, don’t send me death threats, because I will report all that s*** to the cops,” says McDermitt in the video.

“I’m just sick of it. You can hate Eugene, I don’t care. I’ll argue that you’re wrong. You can think whatever you want but when you start saying you hope I die, I don’t know if you’re talking about Josh or Eugene. I gotta report that s***, so, just don’t be an a**hole,” he says.

“And just stop complaining. Just stop complaining about everything on the Internet,” McDermitt adds. “Just go spend time with your family or friends or loved ones. Just get off the Internet.”

He ends his message on a positive note: “I love you, I do. I love you guys.” Watch:
