Zeke Smith’s story is arguably the biggest to come out of “Survivor: Game Changers” after a rollercoaster reveal.
In a last ditch effort to save himself from elimination, fellow castaway Jeff Varner outed Smith as transgender. What followed was an outpour of support from host Jeff Probst, Smith’s fellow castaways, and “Survivor” fans around the world.
What was most impressive, however, was the level of composure and class with which Smith presented himself with, despite the surprise outing.
In this week’s Post Tribal podcast, ET Canada’s Erin Cebula and Parvati Shallow chat with Zeke about his sudden departure from “Game Changers”.
Even after Smith’s whirlwind of a game, it was former alliance member Andrea who was his downfall, and he admitted he knew she would be the one who took him out, before the show even started. “We went for brunch before season 34 and I remember thinking ‘Andrea is going to be my downfall.”
But he confessed it was a good move, “It was smart for Andrea to come after me because I was just about to come after Andrea.”
In the end, he has no hard feelings, “It was a move worthy of the title “Game Changers.”
Survivor: Game Changers” airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Global; you can also watch full episodes online.
