Executive producer Selena Gomez officially confirms a second season of “13 Reasons Why” with a brand new teaser.
The popular, and somewhat controversial, Netflix show depicting the effects a teen girl’s suicide has on her community has been a big hit on the streaming site. Gomez, 24, delighted fans of the show by announcing a second season via her Instagram.
The short teaser pairs b-roll from the show’s most recognizable settings set to eerie music.
According to The Hollywood Reporter the second season will premiere in 2018 and “picks up in the aftermath of Hannah Baker’s death and the start of the characters’ complicated journeys toward healing and recovery.”
Netflix’s official Twitter page released a list of what fans can expect from next season. The second season of the hit show will feature a new narrator and tackle themes of how boys become men and how “we treat girls and women in our culture.”
