In a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, Katy Perry sidesteps any more bad blood between her and Taylor Swift.
For her upcoming album, which is still untitled, the magazine asked her if she penned her own response to Swift’s song that was rumoured to be about Perry.
“Well that’s not my question to answer – if it’s about me,” she said. “I think my new album is a very empowered record. There is no one thing that’s calling out any one person.”
While Perry played coy when it comes to her relationship with Swift, she did have a warning for anyone who comes for her. “You can’t mistake kindness for weakness and don’t come for me. Anyone. Anyone. Anyone. Anyone,” she warned.
She said the warning isn’t to anyone in particular and just wants women to get along: “Honestly, when women come together and they decide to unite, this world is going to be a better place. Period end of story.”
While she’s hoping for the world to reunite, she did have one final note.
“Everything has a reaction or a consequence so don’t forget about that, okay, honey,” she joked. She made it clear the album is not about anyone else, just her.
