After posting a story to her Instagram, Busy Philipps’ fans have come to her rescue.
In a teary-eyed video the “Dawson’s Creek” alum expressed her stress during the uncertainty of pilot season, “I’ve been doing this since I was 19-years-old and it never gets easier. And it sucks. It’s really hard because part of the whole thing is rejection. It’s what the whole thing is based on, right? It’s something else telling you yes to no.”
But many of Philips’ 500,000 Instagram followers have her back. Philips revealed that she made over $500 in less than 24 hours, all in $1 donations sent to her via Venmo just in case her pilot doesn’t get picked up by NBC.
The pilot, a Tina Fey produced comedy series called “Sackett Sisters” co-staring Bradley Cooper and Casey Wilson still has no word whether it’ll get the boot or not.
“The amazing thing about the Internet is that before I didn’t have a feeling of any voice or any ability. The thing is, I know that you like watching these because you feel like I’m so real. But I am f**king real. I’m a real f**kig person. And this is what I do for a job,” she continued sporting Minnie Mouse ears as she is on a Disney Cruise with her family.
And the cash kept flowing in, she posted a bikini clad pic saying, “I made $500 bucks.”
But ultimately she said she appreciated the support but wanted her fans to “save your dollars for someone else.”
