During his Saturday night concert in Kansas City, country superstar Garth Brooks did something a bit unusual: he asked everyone at the show to take a seat.
He then asked all the mothers in the crowd to stand up, and delivered a touching tribute by singing his song “Mom” in dedication to them, and posted the performance on Facebook.
“What defines a mom? What defines a mom is that someone who’s there for their babies 24/7, that’s a mom, right?” Brooks asks his audience.
“So whether you’ve ever had babies, whether you’ve adopted a baby, whether you’re a guy that was your child’s mom, stand up. This is about the moms, right here,” he adds.
“This is for ALL the MOMS out there!” wrote Brooks to accompany the video. “Happy Mother’s Day from me and my friends in Kansas City! love, love, love, g.”
