Olivia Newton-John’s team shuts down rumours about the severity of the entertainer’s spinal and nerve condition.
The “Grease” star’s recent bout with Sciatica is the focus of a new article from The Daily Mail. The publication reported rumours that Newton-John’s condition left her “unable to walk or get out of bed because the pain is so severe.”
But the 68-year-old’s camp is clarifying the situation in a new statement obtained by ET Canada. “Olivia is currently resting – not bed-ridden – and dealing with the very painful condition of sciatica,” said the statement. “Her husband John is taking great care of her and she hopes to be up and touring again within a few weeks.”
The four-time Grammy winner cancelled a series of concert dates through May due to her health condition.
The outlet also reported that Newton-John is concerned for the well-being of her daughter Chloe, 31, who has suffered from anorexia and drug abuse in the past.
“Chloe is also doing very well,” the statement added.
