Miley Cyrus seems to be everywhere these days as she continues the promotional blitz for her new single “Malibu”, and Friday saw her drop by Zach Sang’s radio show.
During the interview, Cyrus opened up about a wide range of subject matter, ranging from becoming sober to her relationship with beau Liam Hemsworth, but one topic that continued to pop up was “Hannah Montana”.
In fact, Cyrus revealed that the question of whether she’d resurrect her insanely popular sitcom alter ego was top of mind when she stopped by Radio Disney last week.
“Dude,” Cyrus told host Zach Sang, “I had to go to Disney the other day to promote, and that was, you know, that was the first thing they said. Because Raven’s back.” (Raven-Symone is resurrecting her Disney Channel character from “That’s So Raven” in an upcoming spinoff, “Raven’s Home”, which Cyrus said will be her “binge-watch of the year.”)
So, asked Sang, would she revive “Hannah Montana”?
“Probably not,” she admitted, revealing that a revival would mean she’d have to spend even more time with dad Billy Ray Cyrus than she already has.
“I didn’t get a school escape like most people,” she revealed. “I went to work with my dad… That was really hard, every day from like 11 to 18… And then I started driving my dad towards the end because I could start driving, and then my grandma went with me. So that was a lot of time spent, dad and grandma, which is why when I turned 18, you wondered why I was twerking at the Juicy J show. I just spent 10 years everyday with my dad and grandma. I had to break free.”
