Natalie Portman stepped out in the South of France on Monday ahead of the Cannes Film Festival to celebrate the launch of the new Miss Dior perfume.
Joined by her husband, French choreographer Benjamin Millepied, the 35-year-old actress, who gave birth to her daughter Amalia nearly three months ago, looked radiant in a custom deep blue velvet Dior Fall 2017 gown as she celebrated the occasion at an exclusive dinner held at the Chateau de La Colle Noire in Montauroux.
According to The Hollywood Reporter writer Chris Gardner, Portman joined 150 guests at the elaborate pre-Cannes event, which housed a rose garden cocktail party, guided castle tours, a dazzling showroom and a dinner party finished off with a fireworks display at the official House of Dior, which was renovated and unveiled in May 2016.
“Miss Dior is the fragrance of the heart, so it’s nice to be here to celebrate this perfume of love,” Gardner reports Portman saying as she addressed guests at the launch. “This new campaign of ‘What would you do for love?’ is so beautiful to celebrate at this incredible magical place on Earth.”
“I was lucky enough to follow my love to France, and it’s nice to be back here in France getting to spend this beautiful evening with all of you celebrating love,” the actress reportedly continued, opening up about her personal life with her husband of five years.
Portman has been a longtime supporter of the Christian Dior brand, acting as the face of Miss Dior for many years.
While Portman is not expected to step out at the Cannes Film Festival this year, other stars attending include Cannes jurors Jessica Chastain and Will Smith, as well as Susan Sarandon, Uma Thurman, Lily-Rose Depp, Elle Fanning and many more.
