Dave Chappelle Apologizes For Saying ‘Give Trump A Chance’ On ‘SNL’ Last November

While hosting “Saturday Night Live” last November was an honour for Dave Chappelle, he reveals he has one regret.

During his opening monologue Chappelle asked viewers to give President Donald Trump a chance, “I’m wishing Donald Trump luck, and I’m going to give him a chance, and we the historically disenfranchised demand that he give us one too.”

But while at a benefit event for the Robin Hood Foundation on Monday, the 43-year-old comedian expressed his deep regret, “I was the first gut on TV to say ‘GiveTrump a chance.’ I f**ked up. Sorry.”

After the apology, Chappelle continued to slam the current President on different issues like immigration and his unpredictability.
