After announcing the ABC reboot of “American Idol”, many were quick to wonder who would sign on as the judges and some hoped for some “Idol” alums.
But there is one person who doesn’t approve of the latest addition of Chris Daughtry, to the reboot, and that person is season five winner, Taylor Hicks.
Daughtry, who placed fourth on the same season as Hicks, will join the judging panel.
“I think a winner should be [a judge], personally,” Hicks told the Domenick Nati Show. “Because, what you go through to win the show is a lot different than what you go through when you’re third or fourth, you know, or fifth. Or 10th. If they were going to have a judge that’s from the show, if they’re going to have someone from the show who was actually a contestant, I would feel like a winner would be the best suited.”
Hicks then added that if he was considered to join on as a judge he would bring a lot of ideas, “I would. I’ve got some pretty good ideas. We’ll see what happens.”
