Nick and Aaron Carter’s father, Bob Carter, has passed away suddenly at age 65.
The father of the Backstreet Boys band member and pop star died this past Tuesday night in Florida. Both Nick and Aaron have tweeted, confirming the sad news and asking for “privacy at this difficult time.”
According to TMZ, Aaron explained in a now-deleted tweet that his father was allegedly “found unconscious” before the time of death.
While there are few details about the cause of the “House of Carters” star’s death, Nick has said on Twitter: “I am heartbroken to share the news that our father, Robert, passed away last night.”
Providing little explanation, Nick added, “While we learn more about the cause of death, and begin the grieving process, we ask that our privacy be respected at this difficult time.”
“My heart is completely shattered,” Aaron added. “I’m in shock and I loved my dad so much. #RIP DADDY. I love you. This is the last pic I have [with] my dad.”
This marks the second death in Nick and Aaron’s immediate family with their 25-year-old sister, Leslie Carter, passing away from a drug overdose in 2012 following a long battle with depression. The brothers share two other siblings, Angel and Bobbie Jean Carter.
