New York City is Tom Hanks’ town and don’t you forget it, bub!
Hanks, 60, spent his Saturday alerting police of a car with a mountain of tickets on its windshield — but it turns out the tickets were paid. The “Saving Private Ryan” and “Toy Story” star tweeted a photo of the vehicle in question with the caption: “Sir? Move. Your. Car! Hanx.”
According to NY Daily News, NYPD Assistant Commissioner for Communication and Public Information Peter Donald tweeted back at Hanks asking for the car’s location. Police officers found the vehicle and quickly found out the ticket had already been paid for.
“We checked the license plate and there are no outstanding summonses,” a police source said. “He probably pays them online but leaves them on his windshield.”
