If you’re one of the many fans who’s been hoping to see Hugh Jackman don those adamantium claws one more time to reprise Wolverine in Ryan Reynolds’ upcoming “Deadpool” sequel, it looks like you’re out of luck.
In an interview with HuffPost, the “X-Men” star pretty much shut down rumours he’d be reviving the character in the upcoming “Deadpool” movie.
“It’s sorta out of my hands because I’m an actor who’s played Wolverine. I’m out,” said Jackman, who is apparently serious about “Logan” marking this final appearance as the clawed mutant. “But if I was running the studio and someone else was playing Wolverine…”
“I’m sure that’s something they could pull together,” said “Logan” director James Mangold, also being interviewed.
“The reality for me is I’ve made two Wolverine movies in a row, so you’re talking to a guy who’s actually ready to direct Hugh Jackman in something else,” added Mangold.
