Trisha Yearwood is the latest country star to take to the ice at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena to perform the U.S. National Anthems at a Predators game as the team continues its pitched playoff battle against the Anaheim Ducks.
With dreams of the team’s first Stanley Cup dancing in fans’ heads, the crowd was treated to Yearwood performing “The Star-Spangled Banner” — although her appearance was no surprise, thanks to the poor secret-keeping skills of husband Garth Brooks.
With the cat out of the bag, Yearwood issued a joking response:
