Nicki Minaj is holding nothing back when it comes to her new rumoured romance with Nas.
While appearing on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Tuesday following her nine-minute opening performance at the Billboard Music Awards, the 34-year-old rapper addresses her supposed new relationship with the 43-year-old performer.
Remarking on their similar upbringing in Queens, New York, Minaj says, “We’re both from Queens. He is the King of Queens and I’d like to think I’m the Queen of Queens. He’s a rap legend so let’s just say that I have a lot of respect for him and, you know, he’s kind of cute, too.”
While Minaj admits that the budding new couple have had friendly sleepovers, she says, “I’m just chilling right now. I’m celibate. I wanted to go a year without dating any man. I hate men. But I might make an exception to the rule for him because he’s so dope.”
During the episode, the “Bang Bang” rapper also introduces DeGeneres to the official rap game after including the daytime television host in two of her songs, “No Frauds” and “Come on a Cone.” “I’m obsessed with you,” Minaj declares, adding that DeGeneres needs to create her own celebrity feud in order to join the rap world.
“Let’s say Oprah was Ellen’s rival,” Minaj jokingly explains. “You and Oprah are two amazing women so what if you started getting jealous of her or something, and then you throw a jab and then she throws one back. It’s so much fun. And then you make a rap!”
