With Tom Cruise taking over the “Mummy” franchise and planning a long-awaited sequel to “Top Gun”, the actor also has some scoop to share on another upcoming project, the sixth “Mission: Impossible” feature.
During an appearance on UK chat-fest “The Graham Norton Show”, Cruise reveals some info about the latest edition of his action-packed film franchise, which promises to be the most action-packed yet.
“I have been in training for a couple of years and we’ve done a lot of testing to see what is possible,” says Cruise of the stunts for the forthcoming sequel, which in the past has seen him hang onto the outside of of a jet while taking off and scale the facade of the world’s tallest building, Dubai’s Burj Khalifa.
Amping up the stunts in each instalment has become the franchise’s calling card, and Cruise reveals that director Christopher McQuarrie has come up with some mind-blowing new stunts.
“It is really crazy,” explains Cruise. “We’ve shot some of the stuff in Paris already and it is going to be really wild and thrilling for the audience. There is always another mountain.”
Cruise also confirms that “Top Gun 2” would be filming next year, which proves to be exciting news for fellow guest Zac Efron.
