The performance featured a special cameo from Colbert himself, as he impeccably delivered the speech that Jarvis Cocker gives on the album version of the song.

“A century – how long is that? 3,155,973,600 seconds. 876 million hours. 36,500 days. Almost as long as one of those endless dark nights of the soul, those nights that never end. When you believe you’ll never see the sun rise again; when a single second feels like a century,” Colbert says during the song. Then the two proceed to rock out at the end of the performance.
