Wedding bells have rung for Ben McKenzie and Morena Baccarin, with People reporting the “Gotham” co-stars are now husband and wife.
The couple became engaged seven months ago, following the birth of their daughter, Frances Laiz Setta Schenkkan, who is now 15 months old.
According to People, the couple tied the knot at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens in Brooklyn on Friday, which was also Baccarin’s 38th birthday. They were reportedly joined by family and close friends at the “small, intimate ceremony.”
McKenzie and Baccarin became romantically involved while working together on “Gotham”, the “Batman”-inspired Fox series on which they both star. McKenzie, who previously starred in “The O.C.”, confirmed the couple’s relationship in September 2015, prior to the birth of their daughter.
In a recent appearance with James Corden on “The Late Late Show”, McKenzie revealed that he actually met his future bride when she was a guest star on “The O.C.”, but admitted the meeting was not auspicious.
“I apparently blew her off,” McKenzie told Corden. “So I’m thinking, ‘What kind of idiot would blow off this gorgeous, beautiful, sophisticated, intelligent, successful woman?’ Then I thought of what kind of boy I was at 25, and [I was] that kind of idiot.” Watch:
