Things took a turn for Rachel Weisz while filming her latest movie.
Weisz stars in “My Cousin Rachel” alongside Sam Claflin and during an appearance on “The Graham Norton Show” the actress revealed she was crushed by a horse.
In the film, Weisz performs her own stunts, which include horseback riding. Her horse was used on HBO’s “Game of Thrones” and was apparently accustomed to playing dead. Weisz said that when the horse’s left reins are pulled, it knows to collapse onto its side.
Well, Weisz accidentally did just that and the horse fell on top of her. “I don’t want to make it sound dangerous, but it was really dangerous,” she said. “The entire set went silent,” Weisz said, but thankfully they quickly realized she was okay and that she wasn’t hurt.
She also told Norton a very funny story about horses that haven’t been castrated and how it causes them to have something a bit distracting. Like what? “Really enormous erections, which in a 19th-century film just isn’t appropriate,” Weisz revealed.
The actress laughed her way through the story and then revealed that Vicks was put in the horse’s nostrils so they were, um, less excited. And if that doesn’t work? Well, watch the clip to found out what’s done.
