For those who can’t wait for “Frozen 2”, don’t worry, Disney/Pixar will tide fans over with “Olaf’s Frozen Adventure”, the trailer for which has just been released.
“Olaf’s Frozen Adventure” will play before Disney/Pixar’s “Coco” when it hits theatres November 22. The “Frozen” spinoff featurette will feature four new songs and is a whopping 21 minutes long.
All your favourite “Frozen” characters return for Olaf’s big-screen venture, including Anna (Kristen Bell), Elsa (Idina Menzel) and Kristoff (Jonathan Groff).
“I’m thrilled that Disney Animation’s featurette ‘Olaf’s Frozen Adventure’ will be coming to theatres in November with Pixar’s ‘Coco’,” said John Lasseter, chief creative officer of Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios.
“It’s a perfect pairing – they’re both beautiful, heartfelt films about families and how people carry traditions forward. I can’t wait for audiences to get to see both of these terrific projects together on the big screen.”
In the movie, Olaf goes on his big holiday adventure as Anna and Elsa are hosting a celebration for all of Arendelle. When their guests leave, the sisters realize it’s time for them to start their own family traditions. The ever-so-helpful Olaf goes out to discover holiday traditions to bring back to the castle so that all of them can enjoy a happy Christmas.
The short will set up the upcoming “Frozen” sequel, the aptly titled “Frozen 2”, which is set for release in November 2019.
