Get ready for a summer of Coldplay, with Chris Martin and the band set to release a new EP next month — the band’s first new collection of music since 2015’s “A Head Full of Dreams”.
Thursday brought fans the release of a new lyric video for “All I Can Think About Is You”, the latest single from the forthcoming album “Kaleidoscope”, which is set to be released for downloading and streaming on July 4, with the CD and vinyl editions slated to drop on Aug. 4.
As Rolling Stone reports, the animated video was directed by I Saw John First (a.k.a. John Christian), and presents an array of provocative imagery, such as cells morphing into animals and ultimately evolving into humans before the visuals move into outer space.
“All I Can Think About Is You” follows on the heels of the band’s previously released “Hypnotised”, while the forthcoming EP will also include a live version of the band’s collaboration with The Chainsmokers, “Something Just Like This”, which was recorded in Tokyo back in April.
In addition, the EP will include some new songs, including “Aliens” (written by Brian Eno) and “Miracles (Someone Special),” the band’s collaboration with rapper Big Sean.
