The Beyhive is buzzing over the birth of Beyonce and Jay Z’s twins, but Imagine Dragons frontman Dan Reynolds welcomed his own set of twins earlier this year – and is already gearing up to take them with him on the group’s upcoming world tour.
“I think that kids are more adaptable and resilient than we give them credit [for],” Reynolds tells ET Canada in Toronto. “It’s been great for my daughter [4-year-old Arrow Eve], because now she’s fearless – in the right ways.”
Guitarist Wayne Sermon is bringing his own two sons on the road as well and admits his kids are already taking an interest in the family business.
“My boy is almost 3 and for the first time last week, he informed me he wants to be a drummer,” Sermon reveals. “As a guitar player, I was a little crestfallen, but I think I’ll get over it.”
The group’s tour is in support of their third studio effort, “Evolve”, set for release June 23. The album is already off to a strong start, with the lead single “Believer” sitting at the top of the Alternative Radio Chart for 12 weeks.
“As any artist, you put out your music and you hope that it does well,” Reynolds says. “But it’s a dual-edged sword because you also put out the music that you love, and those don’t always go hand in hand.”
