Will Ferrell is as generous as he is funny!
When a college student named Samantha — whose family has fallen on hard times in the past year due to her father’s cancer recovery — was revealed to be the winner of a scholarship by the “Today” show’s Hoda Kotb on Tuesday, it was none other than “The House” star who surprised her with a giant ceremonial cheque for $100,000 from Warner Bros. for Samantha’s tuition expenses.
“You can’t actually cash this, OK?” the 49-year-old actor told the student, who was overcome with joy. “They’ll give you a real cheque.”
