14-Year-Old ‘America’s Got Talent’ Contestant Gives A Moving Performance For Father Battling Cancer

Evie Clair gave a memorable performance on “America’s Got Talent” Tuesday night.

The 14-year-old singer broke down on stage when she shared her emotional story while auditioning before the judges.

“About a year ago, my dad was diagnosed with stage four cancer. They gave him a five per cent chance to live, and he continued working and supporting our family. So tonight I’m here to sing for him.

“When my dad is having rough days, I go up to his room and sing this song to help him feel better and just give him comfort and strength to continue fighting,” she said to the judges, explaining her song choice, Christina Perri’s “Arms”.

Clair gave a touching performance that garnered a standing ovation from the audience. Perri was watching the performance at home and, like the rest of us, was just as moved:
