The gang’s getting back together for Camp Firewood’s ten-year reunion!
The original cast of the 2001 cult comedy “Wet Hot American Summer” are catching up after ten years apart in the new eight-part original series coming to Netflix on August 4.
In “Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later,” it’s now 1991 and everyone’s favourite camp counsellors and campers are reuniting at their beloved Camp Firewood after Beth (Janeane Garofalo) announces she’s selling the summer retreat. In the decade since the camp’s misfits went their separate ways, Lindsay (Elizabeth Banks) now hosts her own TV show, Victor (Ken Marino) is a male stripper, scraggly-haired Andy (Paul Rudd) is having a tough time with today’s youth and Gene (Christopher Meloni) looks an awful lot like Gail’s (Molly Shannon) 10-year-old-daughter.
Amy Poehler, Michael Showalter, David Hyde Pierce, Marguerite Moreau, A.D. Miles, Zak Orth, and Michael Ian Black all return for more summer fun. The only original camper missing out on all the action is Bradley Cooper, but there are plenty of new faces stepping in for one last hurrah at Camp Firewood.
Also returning are Chris Pine, Samm Levine, Lake Bell, Samm Levine, Josh Charles, and H. Jon Benjamin, who all appeared in Netflix’s “Wet Hot American Summer: First Day Of Camp”.
Kristen Wiig, Alyssa Milano, Dax Shepard, Jai Courtney, and Marlo Thomas all join the cast, as does Adam Scott in what Netflix describes as a “hilarious secret role.”
