Iggy Azalea and her frenemy Azealia Banks are coming together in the name of music.
That’s right, the rival rappers have collaborated on a new song for Iggy’s upcoming album “Digital Distortion”. The rapper’s feud began back in 2011 after the two threw some shade at each other on Twitter and it was a war of words between them for years.
The “Switch” rapper took to her social media accounts on Monday to reveal the news that she and Azealia had apparently put their feud aside for new music. While no details have been revealed about the song, the album is set for release this year.
“Public Service Announcement, Azealia is going to be on DD. We are collaborating. Burn your wigs now or preserve them in your freezer for release day,” Iggy revealed on Snapchat.
Fans were shocked at the news considering the two haven’t been on the best terms over the years. Iggy took to Twitter to explain their pairing:
In June, Iggy talked about her burying the hatchet with Azealia in a note that Azealia shared on her Instagram account.
Music truly does bring the world together.
