There’s a good chance Syfy is going to dominate Comic-Con.
Having recently undergone a brand refresh for their 25th anniversary, Syfy is now targeting Comic-Con by kicking up their brand in the geek mecca.
“American Gods” and “Drumline” star Orlando Jones will be on hand — ordained and ready to perform as many free and legal geek-themed weddings at the conference.
“We will have chapel hours and all the things you need to make a fairy tale or superhero wedding, from accessories and bow ties to capes. Whatever you’re passionate about, we’ll have the appropriate confetti, music and departure vehicle for said couple,” Syfy and USA Network spokesperson Alexandra Shapiro tells The Hollywood Reporter.
“It will be Instagrammable in every single way, including customizable wedding vows. And Orlando has always wanted to do this.”
In addition to the weddings, there will be 15 panels and screenings, including the highly anticipated “Battlestar Galactica” reunion, free-to-the-public parties and three nights of live coverage hosted by Zachary Levi.
Among their 15 panels is “The Great Debate”, where experts will tackle some of the genre’s biggest questions like “Star Wars” or “Star Trek”? and will have 11 panels for their own shows, which you can see in the list below.
