Christian Serratos is fighting back against the social media backlash she received for a breastfeeding photo.
On Tuesday, the “Walking Dead” actress posted a picture on Instagram of herself breastfeeding her baby.
The response was swift, and though many users left positive messages, many more were nasty, with some saying Serratos was just trying to get attention, and others shaming her for showing off her body.
On Wednesday, Serratos countered with another picture of her breastfeeding in what appeared to be the ‘Walking Dead’ makeup trailer.
Serratos and her partner, New Politics singer David Boyd, welcomed their first child into their lives in May. They haven’t revealed the baby’s name or sex, publicly referring to the child only as “W”.
Serratos isn’t the first female “Walking Dead” star to face body shaming on Instagram. Alanna Masterson deleted her Instagram account after relentless fat shaming, which began after an episode aired in November, shot while she was six months pregnant.
Also in May, “Walking Dead” star Josh McDermitt quit social media after receiving death threats from fans upset with the actions of his character on the show last season.
