Prince William and Prince Harry open up about their mom, Princess Diana as “the best mum in the world”.
The pair participated in a new documentary about the late Princess called “Diana, Our Mother: Her Life and Legacy” which is set to air on ITV in the UK and HBO in the US.
“This is the first time that the two of us have ever spoken about her as a mother,” Harry, 32, says in the recently released promo clip. “She was very informal and really enjoyed the laughter and the fun,” William, 35, added.
“She was one of the naughtiest parents,” Harry says with William adding, “She understood that there was a real life outside of palace walls.”
“She was our mum. She still is our mum. And of course, as a son I would say this, she was the best mum in the world,” Harry said. “She smothered us with love, that’s for sure.”
This year marks the 20th anniversary of their mother’s death and both Princes seem to be honouring her memory by opening up about their childhood memories. Prince Harry recently revealed he suffered panic attacks following his mother’s death, while Prince William has expressed how he would have loved her to meet Duchess Kate and his children.
