Newlyweds Miranda Kerr and Evan Spiegel were married in May, and now the Australian model and the Snapchat CEO are sharing an inside look at an important lead-up to their wedding day in the latest issue of Vogue.
In this video (above) and photos in Vogue‘s August issue, Kerr and Spiegel are trailed by cameras for the final fitting of her Dior Couture gown, custom-made by Dior artistic director Maria Grazia Chiuri.
Kerr tells Vogue that she drew inspiration from the wedding dress worn by movie star Grace Kelly when she married Monaco’s Prince Rainier. “I think it’s every girl’s dream to have Dior design her wedding dress,” she says. “I thought, If she’s up for it, I’m up for it.”
Her dream wedding dress, Kerr explains, boasts long sleeves and high neck. “A dress that fully covers you creates a sense of purity and mystery,” she says. “I’ve had a lot of fun with fashion, and I used to be more wild, free, bohemian. But in this period of my life, my style is more pulled back. My greatest sources of inspiration have always been Grace, Audrey Hepburn, and my grandmother, who at 80 has an effortless chic: a nice pant, a white blouse, a scarf, a little heel.”

Looking back at her wedding day, Kerr is still in awe of her classic-styled gown. “Honestly, I couldn’t have imagined a more beautiful wedding dress,” she tells Vogue. “When I was young, my grandmother told me, ‘Miranda, men are very visual. It’s important to look good.’ I was like, ‘OK, Nan.’”
