Ed Sheeran is all about the Lannisters in his short cameo in the season seven premiere of “Game of Thrones”.
Even while appearing alongside Maisie Williams’ Arya Stark, Sheeran’s character makes it known he’s on the opposite side of the house Stark.
But some “GoT” fans couldn’t believe their ears when they heard a familiar singing voice.
Before Sheeran made his small screen debut, some didn’t fully believe it when the singer revealed the news of his cameo, “I feel like my cameo’s been built up too much though, people will just be like ‘Oh. Oh, alright,” he told Entertainment Tonight last month. “It’s not an intergral part of it at all, I’m just, like… in it.”
“I sing a song and then [Arya] goes, ‘Oh, that’s a nice song,’ and I go, ‘It’s a new one,’ and then there’s other lines,” he revealed about the scene. And that was exactly what happened.
And Sheeran didn’t disappoint either, as he can be heard singing “He rode through the streets of the city / Down from his hill on high / O’er the winds and the steps and the cobbles / He rode to a woman’s sigh / For she was his secret treasure / She was his shame and his bliss / And a chain and a keep are nothing / Compared to a woman’s kiss / For hands of gold are always cold / But a woman’s hand’s are warm.”
“GoT” returns next Sunday on HBO.
