On Sunday, Ryan Phillippe shared a concerning Instagram post with his followers.
Seen in a hospital bed, the actor shared a photo of him hospitalized and appears to be recovering from a leg injury.
“I’m going to be okay and I appreciate your concern,” the actor captioned the photo.
Phillippe, 42, also shared another image from his hospital bed of his leg injury in his Instagram Story and captioned it, “not lit”.
The actor took to Twitter on Monday to explain the reason for his hospitalization. While the filming for his new show “Shooter” has been gruelling, Phillippe explains the incident was actually the result of an accident during a family get together.
According to the star, his leg is broken and it required surgical attention, but he is expected to make a full recovery. He thanked his fans for their well wishes and support. He also thanked the first responders who helped him and the medical staff taking care of him.
ET Canada reached out to Phillippe’s rep for a comment but we have not heard back.
Meanwhile, Deadline is reporting that Phillippe’s injury will impact the shooting schedule of his USA Network drama “Shooter”.
“We are working with our partners at USA and UCP to adjust the production schedule, but first and foremost we are happy to hear that Ryan is doing well and recovering,” a rep for Paramount said in a statement.
