Nabbing roles in “Detroit”, “Pacific Rim: Uprising” and returning for “Star Wars: The Last Jedi”, John Boyega is prepping for his time in the spotlight.
The first step? Landing GQ‘s August 2017 issue, where the actor opens up about getting used to fame and the advice he’s gotten from Robert Downey Jr. and Orlando Bloom.
“It was time for me to sit down with someone who’s been through the extremes of Hollywood,” the 25-year-old explains. Adding, “and to be given some tips as to how to stay stable.”
Boyega maintains he’s not used to celebrity life. Adding that while he was at RDJ’s house (eating waffles nonetheless), another famous faced popped in: Orlando Bloom!
“I was just like, ‘Bloody hell. Is this how celebrities do?'” he tells the magazine.
Apparently so and apparently Boyega isn’t off the mark when it comes to looking for love, discussing the key to his heart with Downey Jr. and Bloom.
“It’s nice to survive with your companion by your side. I’m sure it’s a good thing,” Boyega shares of his relationship theory. “But I’ve never experienced it. And people advise you as a celebrity, ‘Make sure you get someone who doesn’t care about your career.’ Mmmm… I disagree,” he says, sharing that both Downey and Bloom concurred when he said “she has to care about it to understand it.”
