Fans of “Sex and the City” are still holding out hope for another “Sex and the City” movie, but if it ever happens it probably won’t include Carrie Bradshaw’s main man, Mr. Big.
“I feel like we told that story,” Noth told Us Weekly at the premiere of his latest project, Manhunt: Unabomber” on Monday, declaring he’s not interested in playing Mr. Big again. “I don’t think there’s anything left for me to say about that. I want to tell other stories.”
This is not what fans want to hear, and Noth, 62, gets it, yet doesn’t quite understand the “SATC” obsession with his wealthy character.
“I accept it. I may not understand it but I accept it,” he admits. “The thing that I don’t understand is the idea of Mr. Big because — he wasn’t the guy that got away. They were always dance partners. Sometimes they went away for a little while and she had a bunch of other guys and he got married.”
Noth also revealed that he had one request for the show’s writers when it came to his character. “Humour, man! Don’t make me into this suave guy! Don’t make me into a Trumpesque millionaire,” he joked. “Humour!”
