It’s finally happened. After years of mean tweets directed at the now-president of the United States, Donald Trump has blocked Chrissy Teigen on Twitter.
It’s undoubtedly a proud moment for Teigen, whose animosity toward Trump has been apparent for so many years — even if the tweet that finally did it was pretty tame.
In an interview with People, Teigen reveals how happy she is that the moment finally happened because it has been a long time coming. “I have been very anti-Trump since ‘The Apprentice’, like when it first started, so it didn’t start during the presidency like everyone thinks. This goes pretty deep,” she revealed.
Admittedly, Teigen is tickled that Trump had to go out of his way to block her. “And I don’t even follow him so I’m definitely fine being blocked. There’s just this part of me that’s so happy that he had to actually do that. It’s just funny,” she said.
The “Lip Sync Battle” star has a history, after all. She’s tweeted her thoughts about the president for months now.
WARNING: Foul Language Follows
And, of course, Teigen had been tweeting her unvarnished feelings about Trump well before he became president.
Though even Teigen herself has questioned whether tweeting about Donald Trump is the best use of her time.
Back in 2011, Teigen attended the “Comedy Central Roast of Donald Trump”, tweeting about it back then, too.
