‘Sesame Street’ Hilariously Throws It Back To The 1980s In New Parody

Leave it to “Sesame Street” to serve up the perfect music parody.

The Count, Cookie Monster and the rest of the gang take a trip back to the ’80s and it’s hilarious. In the video, everyone’s favourite “Sesame Street” characters cover some of the biggest anthems from the decade and rock out.

Some of the hits they cover include parodies of “Footloose”, “Karma Chameleon”, “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun”, “Come On Eileen” and “Super Freak”.

There’s also a Wham cover, some Queen and it’s not a tribute to the ’80s without a cover of Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin'”.

This is one of the many parodies from Big Bird and friends this year. “Sesame Street” has taken on “Orange Is The New Black”, “Real Housewives” and even the Beastie Boys.
