“Serendipity” star Kate Beckinsale is said to have had an alarming run-in with a serious stalker.
Beckinsale, 44, postponed her appearance at Tampa Bay Comic Con on Saturday after an incident with an attendee, according to TMZ. The man in question is reported to be 45-year-old Terry Lee Repp, who has allegedly been stalking Beckinsale around the U.S. for the past year.
Most alarming, the man once allegedly made physical contact with the actress in Salt Lake City in 2016 and threatened to stab her. Repp, according to authorities, also found Beckinsale in Houston the same year and was detained by police.
A spokesperson for Tampa Bay Comic Con told TMZ that Repp was booted from the event following this most recent encounter. Police say Repp seems to “have an irrational obsession with the victim and has travelled across the country in an effort to harass her.”
The actress’ live appearance was reportedly postponed while Beckinsale filed a police report against the Repp, but she returnted to complete her panel later the same day.
Beckinsale will reprise her role as the vampire Death Dealer Selene in the upcoming sixth “Underworld” movie.
