Vin Diesel has some news to share, and it is definitely fast and furious.
In a Facebook Live video, the action star announced plans for an upcoming “Fast and Furious” live tour, which he describes as “something no one’s ever seen before.”
Diesel, who plays fast-driving Dom Toretto in the mega-hit action-movie franchise, reveals that Universal Studios is teaming up with Brand Events to mount the touring live show, which will include several cars from the films in addition to re-creations of some of the high-octane stunts from the “Fast and the Furious” films.
“As you know, my work with ‘Fast and Furious’ never ends, which I’m grateful for because of you all,” says Diesel in the video, in which he’s wearing a mechanic’s work shirt emblazoned with his character’s name.
“So now, I am in New York, believe it or not, and we are filming something that is going to be pretty state-of-the-art, something no one’s ever seen before, which is a live show, which will be, I think it’s first gonna be a show at the O2 Arena in London that’s gonna go all over the world and we’re really excited about it. But it’ll be a way for you to kind of see the action firsthand,” he explains.
“I’m in the middle of shooting it right now,” he adds. “It’s amazing how many studios there are in New York City now.”
According to Variety, the “Fast and Furious” live tour will kick off in January 2018.
