It doesn’t have to be the holidays for one songstress to get into the spirit of giving. The Sarah McLachlan School of Music in Vancouver provides free education to at-risk youth all year round, but this season Sarah and her students have a special gift for fans.
They’ve joined forces with the singer’s longtime producer Pierre Marchand, who also collaborated on “Building a Mystery” and “Fumbling Towards Ecstasy”, to create an inspiring benefit song called “Find Your Voice”;.
“Christmas can be tough for a lot of people and it’s a lovely gift to be able to offer this every year,”; says the Grammy Award-winning singer, who also partnered with teens last year for her “Space on the Couch for Two”; release.
ET Canada joins Sarah on the set of her new video where she explained her commitment to music programs: “I cannot imagine not having music in my life when I was growing up, and a lot of kids don’t have that opportunity. So for me this was such an obvious choice to get involved with children and music education.”;
In the true giving spirit, “Find Your Voice”; is free for download on sarahmclachlan.com, where fans have the option to also make a donation to the school. Watch Sarah and the students film their video in the clip below!
