Nicola Peltz Talks ‘Transformers: Age Of Extinction’

It was always Nicola Peltz’s lifelong dream to become a professional hockey player. Now that she’s landed a lead role opposite Mark Wahlberg in Transformers: Age of Extinction, however, it looks like she’ll have to abandon that dream and make do with being an actress instead. But as Peltz explained to ET Canada“s Sangita Patel, there is a certain degree of overlap between the two professions.

“I grew up playing ice hockey and I thought I was going to be an ice hockey player, so I love all the action and the athletic part of it,”; said Peltz, adding that she was allowed to do some of her own stunts for the film. “Michael wants us to do as many stunts as we can. But just the running and the explosions and you get your adrenaline up and it’s so much fun. There is never a dull moment on set.”;

Although it wasn’t her original career choice, Peltz says that acting in Transformers has been just as fulfilling as a successful career in woman’s hockey.

“I know that I am really lucky and to be able to work with Mark [Wahlberg] and Michael [Bay] and Stanley [Tucci] and such amazing talented people every day. It’s been amazing for me,”; she said. “I don’t know what the future holds, I am just excited to be here.”;
